[[This is the advice given by the god of death to his messengers not to approach devotees of Civaṉ]]

கண்டுகொள் அரியானைக் (1) கனிவித்து
having caused Civaṉ who is difficult to be seen, to become soft by love.
(2) பண்டு நான் செய்த பாழிமை கேட்டிரேல்
if you listen to the strength of my devotion which I had to Civaṉ

பாணிகொண்ட கொடுகொட்டி தாளம் கைக்கொண்ட தொண்டரைத் துன்னிலும் சூழலே
if you are very near the devotees who have the instrument koṭukoṭṭi which is played to the measure of time and cymbals in their hands do not think of snatching their lives.

நடுக்கத்துள்ளும் நகையுள்ளும் நம்பர்க்குக் கடுக்கக் கல்லவடம் இடுவார்கட்குக் கொடுக்கக் கொள்க என உரைப்பார்களை (1) இடுக்கண் செய்யப்பெறீர்
Do not inflict sufferings on those who say give anything to the devotees and those who actually give to them who play on the instrument Kallavaṭam with speed, in times of adversity when their minds tremble and when people laugh derisively.

கல்லவடம் இட்டுத் திசைதொழுது ஆடியும் பாடுவார் சிந்தையுள் சேர்வரே (campantar, tiruviḻimiḻalai (8) 6);
அடியார் கல்லவடப் பரிசும் காணுவது என்று கொலோ (cuntarar, tirukkāṉapēr, 5)]]
இங்கும் நீங்குமே
leave from this place also.

கார்கொள் கொன்றைக் கடிமலர்க் கண்ணியான் சீர்கொள் நாமம் சிவன் என்று அரற்றுவார் ஆர்கள் ஆகிலும் ஆக
whoever they may be, those people who shout with excitement uttering the famous name `Civaṉ' who wears a chaplet of fragrant flowers of koṉṟai which blossoms in the winter.
அவர்களை நீர்கள் சாரப்பெறீர்
you do not go even near them;

நீர்கள் உரைக்கின்றது என இதற்கு (tiruvāymoḻi, 7-3-6)]]
இங்கும் நீங்குமே

I tell you publicly.
சடைநீள் முடிச்சங்கரன்
caṅkaraṉ who has a tall caṭai coiled into a crown.
சீற்றம் காமன்கண் வைத்தவன்சேவடி ஆற்றவும் களிப்பட்ட மனித்தராய்ப் போற்றி என்று உரைப்பார் புடை போகலே
Do not go near the devotees who say Let the red feet of Civaṉ who burnt Kāmaṉ protect us, with their minds, filled with excessive joy.

நமன்தூதுவீர்
the messengers of the god of death!
இறை என் சொல் மறவேல்
do not forget my words even a little.
பிறையும் பாம்பும் உடைப் பெருமான்தமர், நறவம் நாறிய நல் நறுஞ்சாந்திலும் நிறைய நீறு அணிவார் எதிர் செல்லலே
do not go in front of those devotees who are relations of Civaṉ who wears a crescent and cobras, and who smear themselves profusely with sacred ash which has the smell of flowers esteeming it to be superior to good and fragrant sandal-paste.

காமம் ஒன்று இலராய்
(messenger of the god of death!) without having anyother desire in the least except the attachment to Civaṉ's feet.
வாமதேவன் வளநகர் கைவிளக்கொடு தாமம் தூபமும் தண் நறுஞ்சாந்தமும் ஏமமும் புனைவார் எதிர் செல்லலே
do not go infront of devotees of Civaṉ who adorn the temples in which Civaṉ dwells with small protable lamps, garlands, incenses, cool, fragrant sandal-paste and sacred ashes even during nights

படையும் பாசமும் பற்றிய கையினீர்
messengers who hold in your hands weapons and a noose!
நமது ஈசன் அடியரை அடையன்மின்
do not approach the devotees of our Civaṉ.
விடைகொள் ஊர்தியினான் அடியார்குழாம் புடைபுகாது நீர் போற்றியே போமினே
you go praising without going by the side of the group of devotees of Civaṉ who has a vehicle of a bull.

விச்சை ஆவதும் வேட்கைமை ஆவதும் நீச்சல் நீறு அணிவாரை நினைப்பதே
to think of people who smear themselves with sacred ash daily is education and desire.
அச்சம் எய்தி அருகு அணையாது நீர் பிச்சை புக்கவன் அன்பரைப்பேணுமே
cherish with love the devotees of Civaṉ who begged alms, being afraid of them and not going near them.

இன்னம் கேண்மின்
Listen again still.
இளம்பிறை சூடிய மன்னன் பாதம் மனத்துடன் ஏத்துவார் மன்னும் அஞ்சு எழுத்து ஆகிய மந்திரம் தன்னில் ஒன்று வல்லாரையும் சாரலே
Do not go near those people who are capable of one letter of the mantiram consisting of five letters which are permanent and who praise with intention the feet of the King who wears a young crescent.

மற்றும் கேண்மின்
Listen to what I say further.
மனப்பரிப்பு ஒன்று இன்றி
without any other thought in your minds.
சுற்றும் பூசிய நீற்றொடு கோவணம் ஒற்றை ஏறு உடையான் அடியே அல்லால் பற்று ஒன்று இல்லிகள் மேல் படை போகலே
do not go with your weapons near the devotees who have no other attachment except the feet themselves of Civaṉ who has an unequalled bull, a loin-cloth and sacred ash smeared all over the body.

அரக்கன் (1) ஈரைந்தலையும் ஓர்தாளினால் நெருக்கி ஊன்றியிட்டான் தமர் நிற்கிலும்
wherever the devotees of Civaṉ who fixed his single toe to crush all the ten heads of the arakkaṉ, stand.
சுருக்கு எனாது அங்குப் பேர்மின்கள்
go away from that place without saying tighten the noose.
நீர் சுருக்கு எனின் சுடரான் கழல் சூடுமே
if you play any mischief with them, the feet of Civaṉ who is the light divine will burn you
