Applications are invited for two Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) position under all India coordinated research project titled "Study of climate driven effects on Indian forests through long term monitoring".

Nature of Work: Biodiversity data collection in forests, data processing and analysis

Age limit: 28 years (relaxable as per Government of India Rules)

Fellowship tenure: 3 years

Fellowship: 31,000/- for the first and second year and 35,000/- per month for the third year

Essential qualifications: Master's degree (first class) in Botany/Forestry/Ecology/ Environmental Science/ Biodiversity and Conservation

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Pass in CSIR/ UGC NET/GATE - JRF
  • Experience in ecological surveys/species identification/forest inventories
  • Willingness to carry out long days of field work in difficult terrain and remote location
  • Good oral and written skills in English
  • Computer skills
