The exportation of homeopathy from Europe to Asia

Objectives

In Western societies, among other complementary and alternative medicines, homeopathy occupies a privileged position, besides allopathy and traditional remedies. But, although homeopathy had to face strong opposition movements from the medical field in Europe, it seems that its introduction in India was subjected to different treatments, which therefore raises other issues and questions.Some contributions will explore the indian homeopathy by its historical process of importation in India, from the 1830s until its legal recognition by the State in the 1970s, and its integration in the Indian pluralist medical system. Others contributions presents comparative case study (with bresilian homeopathy), theoretical and epistemological reflections on the homeopathy doctrine.
