Bittersweet Waters This 53 minute trilingual documentary (french, english, tamil) deals with the question of water management in South India, cause of concern underlying in town as waell as in the country. Allowing deliberately a diversity of local stakeholders to speak, this documentary shows how the dynamic of management of water evolved during the last decades and how this so covetously looked ressource could become source of prosperity but also of problems and bitter experiences. Water clearly appears here as a sign of ecological, social, economical, cultural and political stakes of a society facing deep upheavals..

e-Geopolis : Built-Up Areas in India (... To come ...)

e-geopolis The objective of the project is to valorise a systematic corpus of statisitical datas relative to the dynamic of the urban growth of the Planet. Thanks to an international scientific methodology that gave its proofs since more of 15 years, the e-Geopolis project team, with the Indian part (Indiapolis) localized at IFP in the laboratory of geomatics , will capitalize about 80% of geo-statistico-historic existing information on the evolution of the population of human settlements (ULP) worlwide. This project will allow also to strengthen the insertion of the franco-indian team in an international network.
