Annual workshop on Urban Dynamics project

This workshop is being held at the IFP to discuss the different researches conducted under the Urban Dynamics project (department of Social Sciences, French Institute of Pondicherry). Organized by Prof. Philippe Cadene (UMR SEDET, CNRS/University Paris 7) and Dr Kamala Marius-Gnanou (UMR ADES-TEMPOS, CNRS/University Bordeaux 3), this workshop aims to strengthen a network of South Indian researchers working on urban issues and economic development. This year, the debate will focus first on a future publication dedicated to the role of the New Economy in the development of Chennai and second on the new Tender Invitations concerning urban development issues. The collaborators come from various Institutes such as the Institute of Remote Sensing, the School of Architecture and Planning of Anna University, Madras University, Madras School of Economics and the Madras Institute of Development Studies.
