On the occasion of the «Thursdays at the Alliance», the Alliance Française of Pondicherry gave a free hand to the IFP for the screening of a documentary (DVD) «Bittersweet waters» produced by the IFP and made in the framework of its «Social Management of Water» project.
This screening, which was intended to increase public awareness to the growing shortage and to the unequal distribution of water resources in South India, was preceded by a presentation of the research axis of the IFP by its Director, followed by a question hour.
This event, which had a capacity audience and which was praised by all the attending authorities, is for the IFP, an encouragement to go furthermore towards the «popularisation» of its research works concerning, among others, the sustainable management of environment (biodiversity, water,…) and the preservation of the cultural heritage of India.
