The catalogue of the IFP library is now online

Home > News

In 2003, the French Institute of Pondicherry equipped itself with a single library to enable an integrated and modern management of the Institute’s documentary collection and to facilitate its access by a large public.

The catalogue of this library can now be consulted online thanks to a professional software. Moreover, for the first time in India, it would be possible to enter and search a database of 57 000 documents in their original scripts, notably for Indian languages (Sanskrit / Hindi (Devanagari script), Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam…) and also in Roman transliteration.

The application can be improved further. Do not hesitate to send in your questions and difficulties to us (library@ifpindia.org).
