After a long process of exchanges and meetings, the General director of the IRD favourably arbitrated the assignment at the IFP, of two researchers:
Marc ROESCH (CIRAD researcher, on IRD host, position), will ensure the follow-up and the development of the project «Micro finance and Sustainable Development», started in 2003.
Bernard MONDET (In charge of research at the IRD), will initiate a project on Spatial Epidemiology of vector-borne diseases, built during the seminar on «GIS and Health» jointly organised in February 2004 by the IFP and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). This project will associate the IFP, the IRD Research Unit «Conditions and emergence territories of diseases», the Vector Control Research Centre (VCRC / ICMR) and the University of Mahidol (Thailand).
