Home > News

Ways of managing water have evolved during the past decades in India. This much-coveted resource can be a source of prosperity but also of setbacks and bitter experiences.

A team of the IFP has made a trilingual (French, English, Tamil) documentary film on the perception of the lack of water, by users of two villages in Tamil Nadu. Water appears in that, as a pointer to ecological, social, economical, cultural and political stakes, of a society in the midst of a true upheaval. The actors throw a lucid eye on the origin of the problem and the solutions to be brought.

This documentary will be of interest to researchers as well as school and university professors, or development agents who want to tackle issues related to water management. It proves to be a remarkable tool in raising awareness to the current problems of Indian society.
