Seminar on the traditional healing systems in India
Home > News
In the framework of its regional program « Societies and Medicines in South Asia », the IFP organised on the 28-29 October 2005, an international seminar on medical systems in India.
Around fifteen researchers coming from prestigious European and Indian institutions took stock of the contemporary state of Indian medicines.
A fundamental epistemological question animated this seminar: should we develop a new methodological concept to understand traditional medicines in today’s world?
The original aspect and the success of this meeting, which testify to the rapid maturing of the « Medicine and societies » program, caught the attention of the Oxford University Press.
