Seminar on metropolitan transition in India

The IFP and the School of Architecture and Planning of the Anna University in Chennai (Madras) are jointly organizing on August 30 and 31, 2007, a seminar on the theme of “metropolitan transition” in India. The objective is to allow geographers, city planners and entrepreneurs to share their experiences and strategies for urban development in India.

This event coinciding with the public diffusion of the urban development plan for the city of Chennai by the « Chennaï Metropolitan Development Authority », a special emphasis will be put on the urban development of this major city. Representatives from several big companies investing in this city, both French (Renault, Véolia, Saint-Gobain, ...) and Indian (Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, ...) as well as from the Economic Mission of the Embassy of France in India, will be present during this event.

The IFP and the Renault group are co-financing this seminar.

It will lead to a joint publication in 2008
