10th Workshop of the Association of Young Indian Studies (AJEI) in Pondicherry

The AJEI, Association of Young Indian Studies, is celebrating its tenth workshop in Pondicherry. Thematic workshops are organised from February 27 to March 2, 2007, mainly at the IFP, where the association was created (C. Guilmoto, IRD), at the French School of Asian Studies (EFEO) and at the Alliance Française, on the theme : « Conflict, negotiation, cooperation.Challenges and methods for studying social relations in South Asia ».
These workshops, which are designed to be a place to meet and exchange with students and researchers, gathers around fifty young researchers in social sciences working on South Asia, around a few “senior” researchers posted in France and in India. An international day, with conferences and debates in English, is scheduled. The best communications will be published.
The funding of the workshops is assured by the IFP, the CSH in Delhi, the SST (Embassy of France in Delhi), the University of Nanterre (Paris 10) and the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme.
